After increasing feedback that my previous 2018 edition ‘100 African Tailors in London’ was becoming increasing outdated; I have been left with no choice but to update. 4 Years later and yes all the cited entrants have been verified and confirmed are still running as of August 2022.
Francess Designs sews and runs sewing classes from Barking; Linda Cobbina‘s absolutely flawless dress designs have rendered her services unavailable till Sep/October 2022 (she is that ‘in demand’!), Pax Fashions is my actual tailor (a #GoodMan he is) and ‘Atelier na biso’ Maman Lydia serves Congolese and francophone clients in London, France and beyond. The hardworking and humble Manzella Watson has personally been recommended to me more than once as a new entrant and yes Sarah Boadu is Accra based but still serves clients in London and the UK. The ‘tailor of any kind’ Gardenia’s Designs is based in Hackney whilst made to measure Grace Lubaki‘s evening and bridal wear take some beating.
Some are based in Dagenham, Deptford, Fulham and beyond; most can only be contacted via Instgram DM or messaged on FaceBook. There is no particular order in rank or category but be rest assured that there is certainly someone for you amongst these blessed hands:
