Jaya would like to invite you to join us for a traditional South African Braai. A Braai is the South African equivalent of a BBQ. The word braai comes from the word ‘braaivleis’, which is Afrikaans for roasted meat. A braai revolves around the fire, and the food. As per tradition, we will be cooking our braai on charcoals rather than gas. It is all about the experience, the company and the quality of the food. We will also have face painting all day for the children to enjoy. The menu is listed below;

Straight from the Braai

Peri peri whole roasted lamb shoulder w/rustic hummus

Vegetable potjie, pap en sous

Cajun spice & maple chicken w/coriander yoghurt & lime

Roasted sea trout w/ jalapeno & basil

Boerewors w/onion relish

Baked garlic bread

Honey and spring onion corn

Salads and Sides

Potato salad w/ boiled egg and grated gherkins

Pap and Gravy

Red cabbage slaw

Fresh tomato, torn basil and olive oil

Mixed leaf salad

Quinoa superfood

Dressings and Accompaniments

Coconut baked bananas w/caramel sauce, pecans, vanilla cream

Pineapple, lychee and Granadilla Salad

You are welcome to join them at any time of the day 12pm – 5pm for a fun, family day of great food and company. Everyone is welcome, we hope to share this experience with you and create a fun an exciting event outside our restaurant in Bligh’s Meadow, Sevenoaks. It will be £25 per adult for as much as you can eat – and little ones under-fives eat free as well as a half price menu for under twelves!
