An Eight Course Menu Tasting Private Banquet in London of African Cuisine doesn’t happen in London every year – if not in a life time. But that is exactly what ‘Ounjẹ‘ will bring to you this October. This event without doubt is one of the standout African Supperclubs of the year. Cuisinier Victor Okunowo will be showcasing his take on the African (Nigerian) dishes and flavours in celebration of African Cuisine redefining what it means to dine in the African community. Neerali and Sonali of Nights at the Round Table (www.grubclub.com/nights-at-the-round-table) are cooking up a Kenyan feast in aid of the Akili trust on Friday 1st September, 7 for 7.30pm at Campbell and Syme, 9 Fortis Green, East Finchley, London N2 9JR
The 4 course feast will feature: ugali, samosa, seafood coconut curry, mandazi and Kenyan coffee ice cream. A coconut cocktail will greet you on arrival and chai to finish. Bring your own booze to accompany the meal.
The Akili Trust works in Dabaso and Kakuyuni in the Kilifi province of Kenya, establishing and supporting community libraries, providing educational resources, and funding bursaries for secondary education. Our supporters are invaluable to our work, promoting and developing standards of literacy.

Jaya would like to invite you to join us for a traditional South African Braai. A Braai is the South African equivalent of a BBQ. The word braai comes from the word ‘braaivleis’, which is Afrikaans for roasted meat. A braai revolves around the fire, and the food. As per tradition, we will be cooking our braai on charcoals rather than gas. It is all about the experience, the company and the quality of the food. We will also have face painting all day for the children to enjoy. The menu is listed below;
