Lewisham Refugee & Migrant Network are currently looking for admin and reception volunteers able to commit for a minimum of two to three days per week. 9) WOMEN’S RIGHTS DIVISION INTERN

The internship will focus on projects related to women’s rights issues in the Middle East and North Africa region. Some topics of focus will include migrant domestic workers from East Africa, violence against women, and sexual violence in conflict. The internship will consist primarily of small research assignments, legal research, data management and analysis, news monitoring, and drafting documents. Some translation assignments may also be included. Additional projects that match the intern’s interests and abilities may be assigned as they arise.

This internship is best suited for individuals interested in gaining experience within a small office of a large, well-organized, international non-profit organisation. Interns will build knowledge of the key women’s rights issues in the region and priority human rights issues for the organisation. Interns will gain skills in research methodology, advocacy and media monitoring.

20) REGULATORY AFFAIRS MANAGER

Target Malaria is a non-for-profit research consortium that is aiming to develop a novel vector control tool that will reduce the number of malaria transmitting mosquitoes in Sub-Saharan Africa, and therefore combat transmission of the disease. The project started over a decade ago with a funding from the Grand Challenges in Global Health initiative and now receives core funding through a program of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The project has partnerships in 14 different institute, working in Africa (Burkina Faso, Mali & Uganda), the US, and Europe, bringing together a diversity of skill sets – molecular biologists, medical entomologists, population geneticists, protein engineers, social sciences researchers as well as risk, regulatory, project management and stakeholder engagement experts.

The post holder will have primary responsibility for ensuring that regulatory activities for development products are achieved according to expected objectives and agreed milestones. They will also provide regulatory intelligence, expertise and strategy in developing and supporting the dossiers for submission to regulatory authorities in the projects African partner countries.

The Role ED&F Man Capital Markets (“MCM”) is recruiting for a Credit Risk Officer to join their existing credit risk department and help support effective Credit Risk controls and provide Counterparty analysis for this fast-paced division of ED&F Man Group. The role will focus on MCM’s Frontier Markets FOREX business which has a majority client base domiciled on the African continent.
