Depending on which way you want to look at it; Senegalese represent one of London’s fastest growing African Communities. Lambeth, Clapham, Stratford and Newham in particular are good places to start if you’re looking for a Senegalese Bar, Restaurant or meetup groups – as those mentioned in this read up.

Senegalese People are loved by the way. The West African ‘Sunshine State’ is known for it’s peaceful democracy, sunny beaches and delicious cuisine. You will find plenty of Senegalese migrants now calling London home. So ‘Where can I find the Senegalese Community in London?’
Here are a few place where you can start:
FIVE STAR: For Great Senegalese Food and Amazing Live Events; Checkout Little Baobab’s Food Pop-ups

Phone: 07798 688042 | Email: lywamane@hotmail.fr
Probably the best Senegambia Supperclub in London and if not the country; Little Baobab quite simply put = rock. I’ve been there many times, Resident Chef Khadim is a man that knows what he’s doing when it comes to Thiébou dieune,Yassa, Maffé and more. Make sure you keep updated via their Facebook page to see when their next supper club will pop-up! Email: littlebaobabuk@gmail.com or call 07864947632 to book your place! Yes; they’re originally Senegalese – but worthy of a place within this article amongst our Gambian brothers.

The soul of Little Baobab are chef Khadim and musician Abdoulaye Samb. Originally from Dakar, Senegal, the friends have lived in London for many years and forged strong links with the local multi-cultural community, many of them musicians, who regularly play live sets at the restaurant.
Londoners Love Senegalese People!

“I met a fantastic young man from Senegal just now on London’s tube. He teaches music – dejeme, percussion and singing – to London’s young people from all backgrounds. Wonderful and desperately needed. Let’s keep and fight for free movement of people.”
